Rollei Vintage 111 is a variable-contrast black and white silver gelatin photo paper on a fiber base. The contrast can be controlled using color filters during exposure with results ranging from extra soft to ultra hard. Due to its simplicity, this paper is of interest to both hobbyists and professionals. Rollei Vintage 111 fiber-based paper was originally introduced to allow photographers to continue their series started on Agfa Multicontrast 111. When processing Rollei Vintage 111, we recommend a somewhat stronger concentration of Neutol WA (1 + 7) or even better, Rollei RPN because of the higher maximum density. Don’t take our word for it, feel free to read the following expert opinions regarding the quality of this paper.
“Dear MACO photo team, (“[…]”) In my tests with what were largely very tricky negatives, I was impressed by the great quality of the material. It was a pleasure to discover that you can take full advantage of the exposure latitude from extra soft to ultra hard. The paper proved to be "crisp", that is to say you can really work with gradations 1, 2 and 3 and together with the good speed you get rather short exposure times. Even after developing for over 3 minutes I couldn’t detect any grey fogging. The paper is perfectly flat, even after processing and drying the paper it remains wonderfully flat. All in all an excellent photo paper, which with its paper tone is very reminiscent of Agfa Multicontrast Classic 111! Having compared these two papers directly, I can confirm that they are "confusingly similar", and I will now spread this good news to my Agfa-Classic-111 customers. The series that I started on MCC 111, I will now continue on Rollei Vintage 111."

“Dear colleagues, regarding the processing of Rollei Vintage 111 papers: I exposed with Dunco or Kienzle C69 with Heiland Split, on the MCC channel at f 8.00/4.5 sec. filter 3.5 on Agfa MCC 111 as well as Rollei Vintage 111. Developed in Rollei Print Plus (RPP), dilution 1 + 9, developing time 2.5 min., stop, fixer and wash as always. I dried the photographic paper in a hot dry press! Then I compared the two images. More than that, I showed the two images to professional photographers, b&w print labs, etc. All the professionals came to the same Conclusion as me. The difference between Agfa MCC 111 and Rollei Vintage 111 is minimal! The difference is so small, as small as the difference between two batches of the same paper. Nothing more, nothing less. I am convinced!”
