Kentmere 400 is a high-speed black and white film with a nominal sensitivity of ISO 400/27°. It is suitable for an extensive range of photographic applications. Capable of generating high-quality images in available light situations.

Kentmere400 ist wirklich ein Film mit einer großartigen Preis/Leistung!
Ich entwickel ihn in Pyro510 und die Ergebnisse sind hervorragend.
Eine tolle Schärfe, schöne Tonalität, feines Korn, gute Lichterdecklung
(das ganze steht und fällt natürlich mit dem Entwickler den ihr benutzt)
Kentmere400 hat rel. viel "Speck" ich schätze mal ca 1-2 Blenden +-
Er lässt sich prima scannen da er komplett glatt trocknet ohne sich zu biegen und zu winden.
Zusammen mit Foma100 ist dieser Film meine erste Wahl um mit günstigem Film hervorragende Bilder zu schießen. TOP!
Solider Film mit spitzen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis!
Man kann diesen Film hassen oder man kann ihn wie ich trotz manch weniger guten Filmrollen (Montagsproduktionen?), aber selten der Fall sind, lieben. Ich entwickle den Film gern für 5min in einer 1+31 Kodak HC-110 Lösung und bin nie großartig enttäuscht von der Qualität. Sicher gibt es bessere Filme - aber die sind dann doch schon teurer und wer nach einem umwerfenden Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sucht für schwarz-weiß-Filme könnte hier glücklich werden.
Der Kentmere 400 ist für mich ein Film, den ich immer in die Kamera werfen kann und den ich als günstige Ilford HP5 Alternative sehe.
Ich hoffe, nach dieser Kritik werde ich nicht gesteinigt. ;)
Teschnisch gut aber ohne Zauber.
Nach 30 rollen in Xtol 1:1 kann ich nur sagen: keine Mangeln aber leider auch kein Character. Manchmal der HP5+ sehr ähnlich aber meistens eben nicht. Weniger gutmütig als die Klassiker HP5+ und Tri-X.
