Bellini Remjet Remover 10 litre

Bellini's Remjet Remover is a ready-to-use solution for removing the remjet layer from cine films such as Kodak Vision3. It is identical to the Kodak ECN-2 process pre-bath, which is also included in the Bellini ECN-2 kits.

To remove the remjet layer from cine films, rinse your film in this bath at approx. 27°C for about ten seconds. This can be done in an ordinary developing can. Keep moving the can and pour the solution back into a storage bottle (the solution is reusable). Carry out the process three to four times in succession and rinse the film with lukewarm water (27 °C to 38 °C) in between. When you pour off the rinse water, you will notice that it has turned black as the carbon layer is systematically removed from the film. Repeat the process in the pre-bath water and in the hot water until the rinse water is clear again.

It is inevitable that remjet residues will remain on the film negative. After pre-processing, you can rinse the film again by hand (in complete darkness) and remove the residue from the film with your hands. You can also do this after subsequent film processing (ECN-2 or C-41), but make sure that the emulsion side of your negative does not come into contact with the residue on the other side of the film strip.

The solution must not be diluted and can be stored in full bottles for several months. Use a new concentrate if the working solution begins to show a black color due to Remjet contamination.
